IT for small businesses, sorted properly.
Fifteen years running IT in-house. Now helping UK small businesses with Microsoft 365, starters and leavers, health checks, security audits and day-to-day support. Straight answers, plain English.
Most small-business IT grew by accident.
Someone set it up years ago, and it's been patched ever since. It mostly works, until it doesn't. Sound familiar?
- The person who left in March can still open the shared mailbox.
- The Wi-Fi password is on a Post-it, and so is everything else.
- New starters wait a week for a laptop that actually works.
- Nobody is quite sure what the backup backs up.
- Email comes from four different addresses, two of them Gmail.
None of this is your fault, and none of it is hard to fix. It just needs someone who's done it before.
What we can help with
The jobs we're asked for most. One-off work is scoped and quoted before we start; ongoing support is a simple monthly arrangement.
-
Microsoft 365 set-up & tidy-up
Proper accounts, your own domain on email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive set up so files live somewhere sensible.
- From
- Shared logins and personal email
- To
- Everyone on their own account, files in one place
-
Starters & leavers
Laptops set up and ready on day one. When someone leaves, access is closed the same day and their files are kept.
- From
- A week of faff, and ex-staff still logged in
- To
- A repeatable checklist that just happens
-
IT health check
We look over your accounts, devices, backups and licences, then give you a short, plain-English report of what's fine and what isn't.
- From
- “I think it's all fine?”
- To
- A clear list, in priority order
-
Security audit
Sign-in protection, email spoofing, device encryption, who can see what. Carried out with a security analyst, so the basics are checked properly and put right.
- From
- Hoping for the best
- To
- The basics done, and written down
-
Ongoing IT support
A monthly arrangement for businesses that want someone on call. First-line help for everyday problems, with the bigger jobs handled as they come up.
- From
- Whoever's “good with computers”
- To
- A proper helpdesk to call
Not on the list?
These are just the common ones. If something with your IT is slowing you down, ask. If it's not something we do, we'll tell you straight and point you to someone who does.
Ask about something elseHow it works
No sales process and no lock-in. Five stops, and you can get off at any of them.
-
A quick chat
You email, we talk for twenty minutes about what's bothering you. Free.
-
I take a look
With your permission, I review how things are actually set up.
-
A fixed quote
One page: what I'll do, how long it takes, what it costs. No surprises.
-
The work
Mostly done remotely, around your working day. On-site if it needs it.
-
Handover
You get notes on what was done and where everything is. It's yours.
I've spent fifteen years being the IT person inside a company. I know what it's like when it's all on you.
Most of my career has been in-house: looking after the laptops, the email, the licences and the people using them. Alongside that I've worked with several businesses as a contractor, bringing setups that had drifted for years up to date.
You deal with me directly, not a call centre. When a job needs a specialist, like a security analyst or extra hands for day-to-day support, I bring in people I trust and stay responsible for the result.
- 15 years in-house IT
- UK-wide remote, on-site by arrangement
Let's get it sorted.
Tell me a bit about your business and what's bothering you. I'll reply within one working day.
